in this white house
After almost five years in my current apartment, we are hunting for a new home in Chicago. Chief among my fantasies is the notion that someday we’ll have one home in Chicago and one in Texas. But in the meantime, we’re trying to take care of the Chicago part of the equation – in other words - reality. Of course, I already have ideas on decorating our new, perfect three-bedroom apartment. This is a fantasy too, as we haven’t yet found a place that meets our champagne expectations on our champagne-of-beers budget.
In this three-bedroom fantasy, my husband gets one of the bedrooms as an office. He needs a door that closes. Or maybe it’s me that needs him to have a door that closes. Po-tay-to; Po-tah-to.
As for me, I get some sort of cozy little nook for my work area. Here are some things I want to put in my nook.
